Our key Milestones
We have so far helped 5 patients get medical attention in India between 2016 and now, and several others to get treatment locally. Unfortunately, we lost some while others are steadily recovering.
We have reached most parts of the rural slums i.e. Korogocho, we held a session at Korogocho Community Hall, Kibera slums and remote parts of Garissa as the disease is mostly rampant, with lack of proper education on the illness We have held sessions with medical students from KMTC to help us in creating more awareness.
Our Challenges
Our key challenge is losing our patients. Most patients come in during the last stages; unfortunately, we see many die during our interaction with them. With adequate awareness and outreach, we are confident we will reach out to more in advance and enable them get adequate treatment.
We are also limited in terms of funds and resources to run our activities effectively; we have seen a rising need for our programs to many cadres of society.
